Hierarchy? We are becoming ‘social structured’, so should companies.

I’ve mentioned it before; hierarchy within companies something of the past rather than a sustainable structure for the future. I’ve seen companies struggle with structure when social media made its way into peoples lives, changing the way we connect to one another. Changing the way we can express thoughts, our ideas, our knowledge through these new networks of likeminded and interconnected individuals. The old structure of enterprises is not fit to handle this new socially structured, real-time communication.

Life at the castle

I’ve been on a short and well deserved break last week, took the boyfriend and kids out to a castle in the beautiful French ‘Pays de Loire’ . Chateau de la Roche Hue was our destination, within range of the cities of Saumur and Angers. In the end we did’nt do much sightseeing. Swimming, reading, and enjoying the lovely French wines of the region is what we did. Especially the cremants (methode champagnoise), my favorite; a red cremant by the house of Ackerman as well a brut rose called Xnoir, of which we bought a stack to take home after visiting the caves. Of course I did some drawing as well..

@wilg

I received my new stylus for the iPad yesterday and  I had to try out some drawing styles right away to feel if it made any difference with my old and simple stylus. I will let you know what I think soon. But I do know that, apart from my moleskine drawings, iPad doodles are officially here to stay.

Another book Illustrated, How2talk2kids siblings without rivalry

The American series by Mazlish and Faber of how to communicate with children in a succesful way has been translated and adapted into a workable Dutch version by How2talk2kids.nl. The first book; How2talk2kids came out 2 years ago with my drawings. These drawings proved to be a big succes in how the book was received and were used in the workshops very succesfullly to provide simple understandable examples. With the second book there was no doubt; it needed another set of my drawings.

Insight; Collectors is all we humans are really, always have been. It’s what defines us. Or is it that what we think defines us that we collect?

Just short easy accessible explanations with visuals and words. The first in a row, I hope….>>
